Jim Sanduski, Samsung digital A/V products group senior market VP, has been named senior VP of sales for all of Samsung consumer electronics products. As previously reported Reid Sullivan, formerly Panasonic entertainment merchandising VP, will take over Sanduski's role in the position of digital A/V products group marketing VP (TWICE, p. 12, Nov. 6). Sanduski will take over some of the sales responsibilities once handled by Peter Weedfald, former Samsung sales and marketing senior VP, who left Samsung to join Circuit City... Blake Parton, former Osem USA and Procter and Gamble executive, joins Maxell as accessories product manager... Jason D. Oxman, most recently managing director of the Law Media Group and ex-FCC senior policy staffer, named communications VP of the Consumer Electronics Association beginning Nov. 27. He replaces Jeff Joseph, communications and strategic relations VP for CEA, who resigned Aug. 30 after eight years to join the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) in the Washington area... Jim Croke, former Hedstrom exec, joins Cobra Electronics as U.S. sales VP. Tony Mirabelli remains senior VP of marketing and sales... Sharper Image president/COO Tracy Wan and executive VP/CFO Jeff Forgan have resigned from their posts. Wan's position will be eliminated and her management responsibilities will be assumed by interim CEO Jerry Levin. Daniel Nelson, the company's senior VP, controller and principal accounting officer, will fill in for Forgan as, interim CFO. The retailer is currently searching for a permanent CEO and CFO... David Hemler, former president of Microsoft Canada, has joined Best Buy For Business as VP/sales and operations… Coby Owen, ex-A/V sales manager for Magnolia HiFi, joins Krell Industries as new account manager... Greg Memo, former Gateway exec, joins Linksys as VP/GM of its consumer group. While not a direct replacement, Memo will oversee many of the same functions formerly done by Malachy Moynihan, who will move back to Linksys' parent organization Cisco... Ray Windsor, GM of Audiobahn, has left the company to form his own consulting company called Leadership System Consulting, based in Laguna Nigel, Calif. He is replaced by Rick Anderson, former senior VP at Alphasonik, who takes the new title of Audiobahn executive VP.
