Bass Luring Custom Customers With Unique Seating

By John Laposky -- TWICE, 9/17/2007

Bass displayed its line of high-end theater seating at CEDIA Expo. The collections includes theater chairs and configurable couches in ultra-modern designs.

The company's Paris line of customizable theater seating features OEM leather construction or the customer's own material. It comes in single seats, rows, loveseat or sofa configurations and can be aligned in straight lines or wedges.

The seats themselves feature an extra-wide seat pan, optional oversized cup holder, multilayered foam support and support springs, and an 11-layer framework. Options include privacy panels, a motorized or manual decline mechanism and motorized integral storage bar that raises the inside in rows of two or more.

The Paris seats come in nine colors.

For consumers loking for an even more modern design, Bass offer the Bzoo, a free-form ovular theater chair available in leather or faux leather.

The Bzoo is constructed of a frameless high-resiliency foam core. Each Bzoo measures 44 inches by 22 inches by 52 inches. A removable, reversible 27-inch round center cushion features a mesh panel for breathing and comes available in the same color as the chair or two toned, in which the second color is on one side of the reversible cushion.

Colors available are black, brown, tan, cream, white and red for the leather model, and powder blue, camel, cobalt blue, orange, red, mahogany, chocolate, black and white in faux leather.
