10 Added To Panasonic Program

By Greg Tarr -- TWICE, 12/20/2007

New York – Panasonic said this week it has added 10 new families to its “Living In High Definition” program.

The new families will join the 14 previously selected families who are exploring “how the latest high definition televisions and video technologies can enrich the American lifestyle,” Panasonic said. The company will eventually expand the program to a total of 30 families, who will be given a suite of Panasonic digital products, including HDTVs and camcorders, to document how their lives and the lives of their communities are enriched.

Participating families are asked to make regular videos, for display on Panasonic’s Living In High Definition Web site, showing how the products are being used in their lives and within their communities.

The 10 new families are from Sacramento, Calif.; Highlands Ranch, Colo.; Tall Timbers, Md.; Clovis, N.M.; Vance, Ala.; Ogden, Utah; Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; Greensburg, Pa.; Alpharetta, Ga. and Pasco, Wash.

The winning families represent a broad cross section of consumers, and were selected after submitting the most creative answers to unique challenges. They will be issued a suite of mostly Panasonic HD products including a large screen 1080p plasma HDTV, HD camcorder, Lumix digital cameras, Blu-ray Disc player, Toughbook laptop and photo printer, home theater system and a gaming system.

The Panasonic Living in HD program will continue through 2008.

Families that are interested in participating can submit an entry at LivinginHD.com and answer the fourth challenge question: “What Type of Public Service Announcement Would Your Family Create?”

The applications for this next phase are being accepted through Dec. 21, 2007.
