Memorex Unveils 'Travel' Products Duo

By Staff -- TWICE, 1/5/2006

Memorex is debuting a number of products at International CES this week.

The battery-operated TravelSync allows users to transfer music, photos and data without using a PC. It features two USB connectors that move files between any two USB products — MP3 players, USB flash drives, digital cameras, external hard drives or any USB device that supports the mass storage spec. And using the LCD screen, users can select exactly which files to transfer.

TravelSync will be in stores in January for a suggested $59.99 retail.

Memorex TravelLink allows consumers to move digital files between flash cards and USB products, using its two USB connectors and two card slots — without needing a PC.

Users can transfer music, photos and data from USB to USB device, flash card to USB, flash card to flash card, or USB to flash card. The battery-operated TravelLink replaces the need for a standard flash-card reader, and even lets consumers select exactly which files they want to transfer.

TravelLink will be available in January for a suggested $79.99 retail.

Also new from Memorex is iPod wraps, with which users can customize iPods and change their look as many times as they like. Made of scratch- and scuff-resistant photo quality paper, the adhesive, removable wraps fit all iPod products — including the Shuffle, nano, Video, fourth-generation and Mini. The wraps leave no residue when removed from the iPod.

Every package of iPod wraps includes the totally new edition of Memorex's exPressit Label Design Studio software. Using exPressit software, consumers can choose an iPod Wrap template and select from 1,500 background images — or use their own — to create a custom look for an iPod.

The Cerritos, Calif.-based Memorex's new exPressit software has more features, more templates and more clip art and background images than previously, and is the only major brand of labeling software with templates for iPods, said the company.
