Sonos Moves Music Server Onto Internet, Eliminates Need To Rip, Store Locally

Sonos is moving music servers out of the home network and onto the Internet to eliminate the need by time-starved consumers to rip CD libraries or download songs to a PC. "Content in the home is becoming less and less important,” sales and marketing VP Tom Cullen contended in announcing a partnership with the RealNetworks.
