HP Sales Rise, But Profits Miss Targets
PALO ALTO, CALIF. -Citing margin pressures, adverse currency effects, higher-than-expected expenses and its business mix for a big earnings shortfall in its fiscal fourth quarter ended Oct. 31, Hewlett-Packard missed its growth target for the quarter.Overall company sales climbed 17 percent in the fourth quarter to $13.3 billion, compared with $11.4 billion in the same quarter last year.
