LG Studio Line Centerpiece Of Museum Panel

New York — LG Studio, the premium kitchen appliance suite from LG Electronics, was showcased at the New York Museum of Arts and Design here yesterday amid a roundtable discussion about home design and the environment.

Participants included actor/filmmaker Adrian Grenier, interior designer and TV personality Thom Filicia, and LG Electronics’ marketing and go-to-market operations senior VP James Fishler.

To complement the event, the museum displayed selections from the integrated Studio line including two refrigerators, a gas cooktop, a built-in double wall oven, a slide-in range, an over-the-range microwave and a dishwasher.

The discussion centered around the fusion of home design and “green” lifestyle, and was moderated by film producer Peter Glatzer, who with Grenier co-founded the award-winning sustainable lifestyle platform SHFT.com. Additional participants included designer and environmental lifestyle expert Danny Seo; interior designer Jacqueline Hosford; and kitchen design expert Tom Santer, project VP of bath and kitchen faucet resource Grohe.

“Driving innovation in the kitchen is more than features; it’s an holistic approach that encompasses stylish design with an eye towards the environment,” said Fishler. “Our LG Studio line empowers the creation of a sophisticated kitchen design with the latest features, all while providing outstanding energy-saving technology and smart innovations.”

For example, the 42-inch wide, Energy Star-qualified LG Studio side-by-side uses at least 20 percent less energy than required by federal standards, while the three-door French-door fridge offers among the largest storage capacity in a counter-depth model, providing a more integrated look.

In cooking, the built-in double wall oven features an LCD control system, 100 pre-loaded recipes and 42 pre-programmed auto-cook recipes through its gourmet recipe bank, while the premium electric slide-in range offers one of the largest oven capacities available at 5.4 cubic feet, along with two fans and two built-in heating elements for faster preheat times and more even heat distribution for more overall uniform baking and roasting, LG said.
