Whirlpool Marks Its Golden Anniversary With 50-City Tour

BENTON HARBOR, MICH. —

Whirlpool launched its second
annual Great American Road Trip
last month, which will provide thousands
of sales associates with
face-to-face product training on
the latest appliance innovations, in
part to mark the company’s 100th
anniversary.

The 50-city tour highlighting the
Whirlpool, Maytag and KitchenAid
brands began in Sacramento, Calif.,
and Milwaukee, and will end on
Whirlpool’s 100-year anniversary
on Nov. 11. “Our goal is to arm U.S.
sales professionals with the latest
appliance information needed to
help their customers create beautiful,
functional and efficient kitchen
and laundry spaces,” said sales
training development manager Liz
Okon. “And, the timing of the tour
will help attendees prepare for the
upcoming holiday season.”
