LG, Sears Hometown Mount Majap Giveaways

HOFFMAN ESTATES, ILL. — Appliances
are the focus of two separate
nationwide contests this month by LG
Electronics and Sears’ independent
Hometown Stores.

LG’s “Taste of Something Better”
recipe contest and cooking competition
celebrates original recipes from
amateur chefs across the nation, while
highlighting the company’s recent entry
into the cooking category.

Contestants were selected based on
online recipe submissions, and fi nalists
will compete in a national cook-off in the
LG Kitchen at the new “Taste of Beverly
Hills” wine and food festival in September.
Judging the contest are culinary celebrities
Ted Allen and Tim Love.

The grand prize is a trip for two to
Seoul, South Korea, to compete in LG’s
global cooking competition, and a suite
of LG stainless-steel kitchen appliances,
including a four-door refrigerator,
gas cooktop and double wall oven.

Meanwhile, Sears Hometown Stores
are celebrating their 17th anniversary
with a month-long “Share in the Celebration”
giveaway features $64,000
in prizes, including Whirlpool and
Samsung stainless-steel kitchen suites,
laundry pairs from Samsung and Fisher
& Paykel, and GE range and microwave
oven packages.

The 1,130 Hometown Stores and
sister Sears Home Appliance Showrooms
and Sears Appliance and Hardware
Stores are mostly independently
owned and operated or franchised, and
are generally located in smaller communities
nationwide.
