Charlotte, N.C. — Electrolux said it will donate up to $200,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Fund to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
The manufacturer will donate $100,000 outright and will then match employee contributions up to another $100,000.
Jack Truong, president and CEO of Electrolux Major Appliances, North America, said in a statement: “Our thoughts and concerns are with everyone affected by this storm and the resulting floods that have caused significant damage along the East Coast. We are pleased to be able to do our part in helping families during this time.”
