BSH Home Appliances has reorganized its corporate structure along product-category lines.
The premium white-goods manufacturer has created four senior VP posts to manage its laundry, dishwasher, cooking and refrigeration businesses across its Bosch, Siemens, Thermador and Gaggenau brands.
The reorganization follows the recent appointment of Michael Traub as president/CEO of BSH, which is the U.S. subsidiary of Germany's Bosch and Siemens Hausgerate GmbH, one of the world's top five white-goods makers. The company opened a manufacturing facility in North Carolina in 1997 where it produces washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, ovens and cooktops.
Heading the laundry division is Gotthard von Hundt, who had served as product marketing director since 2003. Before that he was global marketing director for dishwashers, based at BSH's Munich, Germany, headquarters. He began focusing on the laundry division in late 2006.
BSH produces full-size front-load washers and dryers as well as 24-inch stackable units.
Heading the dishwasher division is Martin Knobloch, formerly global product marketing director for dishwashers in Munich. Before that he was manager of corporate strategy.
The company's dishwasher platform includes the new Ascenta line, which will be sold under the Bosch brand.
Heading the cooking division is Dr. Andreas Meier, formerly managing director of BSH's Thailand operations. Prior to that, he headed corporate strategy for BSH Group in Munich.
BSH's cooking division includes wall ovens; freestanding ranges; gas, electric and induction cooktops; and ventilation.
Heading the refrigeration division is E-Lin Tan, who previously headed global product line management for the refrigeration division based in Giengen, Germany. Prior to that, she was in the corporate technology department in Munich.
The refrigeration division produces freestanding models in counter-depth and standard-depth configurations as well as built-in units.
All four division heads report directly to CEO Traub.
"Each of the new senior vice presidents brings valuable experience and the kind of inventive thinking that will help BSH maintain growth in the product divisions they will oversee," Traub said.
In other BSH news, Sears has added Bosch's front-loading Nexxt and 24-inch Axxis laundry lines to its appliance assortment in stores nationwide, joining existing Bosch dishwashers, refrigeration, wall ovens, cooktops, vent hoods and ranges.
"We are very pleased that Sears, a retailer of Bosch appliances for nearly 10 years, is now offering our award-winning Nexxt laundry and our compact, stackable Axxis laundry," said Traub. "Now Sears has become a one-stop destination for consumers seeking premium Bosch kitchen appliances and the advanced laundry care that front-loading Bosch machines offer."
