BSH Launching Landmark Dishwasher, Steam Range

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIF. –

BSH
Home Appliances is having a busy summer
with the August rollouts of a breakthrough
dishwasher and steam range.

The premium appliance company says its
newest, top-of-the line addition to the Bosch
800 Plus dishwasher series, set to hit showroom
floors in mid-August, will operate at 39
dBA, setting a new industry low for noise.
Bosch, which is already renowned for its quiet
dishwashers, was able to further reduce
the new Evolution model’s sound levels with
an improved motor and dampening technology
that softens the sounds of the drain snorkel
and the water blast.

The new unit also uses less than 2 gallons
of water per cycle and 180kWh/year, which
readily qualifies for Energy Start status. Design elements
include concealed controls and recessed or bar-style handles. The suggested retail ranges from $1,399 to 2,099,
depending on finish and handle.

Meanwhile, BSH’s modern-design Thermador division
is introducing what it describes as “the world‘s first
kitchen appliance to offer seven distinct cooking options.”
Its 48-inch Thermador Pro Grand steam range provides
steaming, convection baking, burner cooking, simmering,
grilling, griddle cooking and warming by integrating four
appliances: a full-function, 1.4-cubic-foot combination
steam and convection oven; a 5.1-cubic-foot convection
oven; a six-burner gas cooktop and electric grill/griddle
option with titanium surface; and a 1.4-cubic-foot warming
drawer.

The Pro Grand also houses Thermador cooking exclusives
such as its 22,000 BTU Star power burner, and “extra
low” simmering technology that cycles the burners off
and on to as low as 100 degrees (375 BTU).

Design features include highest-grade stainless-steel
construction, signature bull-nose design, commercialstyle
gauges and knobs, hydraulic hinges, telescopic
racks and Professional-series handles and trim kits to help
customize the kitchen.

The range will be available next month at a suggested
retail of $13,995.
