ROSELAND, N.J. — Italian premium appliance manufacturer Bertazzoni Italia is making its U.S. market debut with two lines of high-end cooking products and accessories.

The platform is being imported by Eastern Marketing, here, a distributor of luxury majaps for retailers and wholesalers in the mid-Atlantic and Northeastern U.S.

Eastern is capitalizing on current market demand for designer and professional-look cooking appliances, which dominated the category during the recent Kitchen/Bath Industry Show (K/BIS). According to Eastern, Bertazzoni has a history of and reputation for “high-quality, design-focused products,” and the two new imported lines meet the standards of U.S. grade professional appliances.

The program includes a Professional and a Modular series. The Professional series features 30- and 36-inch gas ranges, range tops and cook tops. Features include:

  • Eight color options for the 36-inch ranges;

  • One-piece stainless steel work tops;

  • Options for five or six high-performance gas burners with a combined firepower of up to 50,000 BTUs;

  • Child-safe ignition systems and intuitive controls intended for flexible and accurate cooking.

Eastern says the ranges also feature bottom storage compartments, wide openings and extra-sturdy racks. Complementing the series is a selection of stainless back guards, ventilator hoods and other accessories to give consumers more customization opportunities.

By contrast, the Modular series is being touted for its architectural flair. Eastern says the line blends appliance and furniture elements for a “highly functional design statement.” The cooking units offer such features as stainless steel cabinets with open shelves or full size drawers measuring 36- and 48-inches, combined with five high-performance gas burners and matching back guards and ventilator hoods.

Retail pricing and ship dates were unavailable at press time.
