The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) elected new officers, directors and division leaders during its Annual Member Meeting, held here earlier this month at the Ocean Reef Resort.
AHAM's newly elected officers are board chair Edward V. McAssey, III, COO of Lasko Products; first vice chair Jerry G. Ryder, president of In-Sink-Erator, Emerson Electric; second vice chair Mark J. Bissell, president/CEO of Bissell Homecare; and treasurer Alan M. Holaday, global manufacturing strategy VP, at Whirlpool.
Newly elected members of the AHAM board of directors include Gerald J. Lozinski, global product development VP at Jarden Consumer Solutions, and Mark L. Balcunas, VP/general manager, appliance controls for Invensys Controls. Mike L. Carpenter, president of West Bend Housewares will serve as an ex-officio director.
Re-elected to the AHAM board for three-year terms are Franz J. Bosshard, president/CEO, BSH Home Appliances; Earl F. Jones, senior counsel, GE Consumer & Industrial; Lasko's McAssey; In-Sink-Erator's Ryder; and Bob Scaglione, senior VP, consumer electronics marketing group, at Sharp Electronics.
The AHAM board also approved BSH's Bosshard as board chair of the major appliance division for the 2006-2008 term, with Paul V. Sikir, design engineering VP at Sub-Zero/Wolf Appliance serving as vice chair.
In the supplier division, Mark Balcunas will serve as board chair and David P. Yundt, VP/director, stainless products, Main Steel Polishing Company, will serve as vice chair.
