AHAM Elects New Board Members

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) has elected five new members to its board of directors and has re-elected three standing directors.

Newly elected board members include Whirlpool's Alan Holaday, VP/consumer-centered manufacturing; Marc Navarre, CEO of Krups North America; and Donald Hoeschen, VP/sales at National Presto Industries. Holaday's and Hoeschen's terms will expire in 2004, while Navarre's term will be up in 2003.

In addition, Honeywell VP/engineering and quality Dennis Harrison, who also serves as AHAM's portable appliance division chairman, was elected to a two-year term, while Robert Van Dusen, VP/marketing for Emerson Appliance Controls and AHAM's supplier division chairman, was elected to a one-year term.

Re-elected board members include Liston Durden, senior VP/marketing for Viking Range; AHAM board chairman Alan Kessler, VP/government relations and technology for Amana; and AHAM first vice chair George Manson, Jr., VP/general counsel and secretary at Hamilton Beach/Proctor-Silex. Each has been elected to a three-year term.
