Video Mount Products (VMP) has introduced to the market a number of new flat-panel mounting solutions.
The company is now shipping a 45-degree articulating universal flat panel wall mount for larger TV models. The PDM-W can hold 42-inch to 63-inch flat panels weighing up to 180 pounds. The PDM-W has a shallow profile, projecting 4 inches from the wall with arms fully collapsed and 24 inches with arms fully extended. Mounting rails adjust from 8 to 39 inches, left to right, for easy installation. The mount tilts from -5 degrees to +20 degrees for an adjustable viewing range and is available in silver or black (model PDM-WB) powder-coat finish. It has a suggested retail of $559.
Also new from the company, and on display at this week's EHX Expo in Orlando, Fla., is the new LCD-UC1 Universal LCD under-cabinet mount. "Today's consumer wants to be able to place their flat screens in nearly any environment in both home and business settings, including hiding smaller screens under cabinets so they are out of view and not taking up valuable space when not in use," explained Keith Fulmer, VMP president. "VMP's new LCD-UC1 holds most 10- to 17-inch LCD TVs up to 20 pounds, has tilt and swivel capabilities for optimum viewing angles, and can conveniently flip up to keep the LCD out of view, as well as protected, when not in use."
The mount complies with the 75mm and 100mm VESA standard. It comes in a silver powder-coat finish and has a suggested retail of $83.95.
Also on display will be a non-wall mounting solution. The TT-LCD20B flat-screen turntable is designed for smaller panels up to 75 pounds. It features a 20-inch wide by 14-inch deep platform that sits on a flat surface and swivels to any viewing angle. It is available in black or silver and retails for $46.95.
"The TT-LCD20B allows the consumer the flexibility of placing the LCD on a wider variety of surfaces throughout the home or office, from the kitchen to the bedroom to the boardroom, where any appropriate viewing surface is available. The TT-LCD20B's rugged yet sleek design makes it look right at home wherever the LCD display is desired," said Fulmer.
