Sanus Displays Mounts, Furniture, Speaker Stands

Sanus Systems introduced a five-axis, flat-panel wall mount for 30-inch to 50-inch large flat-panel TVs weighing up to 130 pounds.

The wall mount features Sanus Systems’ Virtual Axis fingertip-tilt system that allows effortless tilting. Swivel and pan adjustments are also made with no tools required. It has a hinged heavy-duty arm that gives viewers additional flexibility for positioning the television when viewing it, and allows them to push the television out of the way when done, the company said. Suggested retail is $549.

The company’s new Universal Projector Ceiling Mount, VMPR1, is designed for low-profile flush-mounting applications. The latest addition to its VisionMount line of wall and ceiling mounts, the unit incorporates a feature said to be unique to the A/V market — independent roll, pitch and yaw mechanisms that allow for quick and easy positioning of each of those motions, as well as maintaining those adjustments after disconnecting the projector. Suggested retail is $179.99.

New from St. Paul, Minn.-based Sanus is the platinum furniture plasma TV pedestal for plasma TVs up to 50-inches diagonal. It can handle flat-panel TVs that weigh up to 130 pounds. The suggested retail is $399.

The NFV49mo is an extra-wide, mocha-finish three-shelf video stand in the extensive Natural Furniture line. Its 50-inch width accommodates large digital televisions up to 250 pounds, and it has a suggested $379.99 retail.

New high-end furniture, called Java, has been added to Sanus’ line of A/V furniture. The first available components are a 65-inch-wide lowboy A/V cabinet and its companion 75-inch-wide lowboy A/V cabinet. Called models JFV65e and JFV75e, the pieces blend Far East styling combined with modern technology. Each can hold up to 350 pounds.

Both models come with special mounting rails that allow attachment of flat-panel LCD and plasma TVs using Sanus VMPL or VMPL2 TV mounts. TV sizes of 32 inches to 60 inches can be accommodated. Suggested retails are $799.99 for the 65-inch cabinet and $899.99 for the 75-inch model.

All introductions above are available.

Sanus currently is debuting Hoover Foundations correct positioning speaker stands that are sleek, heavy-duty units used for proper positioning of home theater satellite speakers. Stands come in black, model HF1b, and silver, model HF1s. A package contains two high-mass base plates and two straight telescoping pillars that raise surround speakers 36 inches to 58 inches off the floor. Two angled telescoping pillars are available for listeners who prefer to have sound directed down at them. These raise speakers 41 inches to 58 inches.

Six different sets of speaker mounts allow virtually every speaker up to 10 pounds to fasten to the stand. Suggested retail for each stand is $79.99.
