OmniMounnt Bows Furniture, Mounts

Mount maker OmniMount Systems was showing a number of new products, including audio and video furniture and speaker stands, at International CES here earlier in the month.

In OmniMount’s Stellar series of glass and metal furniture, the three-shelf audio tower for A/V components features 10 inches between shelves and a 50-pound shelf capacity. This G-303 has a suggested $299.95 retail. The G-304, four-shelf audio tower, which also offers a 50-pound capacity, is $379.95. Both come in black or gray.

A swivel mechanism, which moves components completely around on the glass shelves without scratching the furniture, is available from the company for $59.95 suggested retail.

OmniMount’s Stellar G-343, a three-shelf glass video table is designed for large CRT televisions. The unit, which has 40-inch-wide shelves, can hold a 250-pound capacity, offers cable management and comes in black and gray. Suggested retail is $349.95. For extra-wide LCD DLP TVs, up to 70 inches, the Stellar G-362 video table offers an extra-wide two-shelf design of 60 inches. The table holds 250 pounds and comes in black and gray. Suggested retail is $399.95.

Other products in the Stellar series include the G343T three-shelf, 40-inch-wide video table, which is 17 inches taller than the G-343, and has a $379.95 suggested retail; the G-353 three-shelf, 50-inch-wide video table, at $399.95; the G-363 three-shelf, 60-inch-wide video table, at $449.95; and the G-372 two-shelf, 70-inch-wide video table, at $449.95. All come in black and gray except the G-372, which only comes in gray.

The Lunar and Solar series of audio and video furniture from the Phoenix-based company has been redesigned to soften the glass and metal look with a new texture of flat steel and chrome accents. Lunar, with its four-shelf audio tower and two-shelf video table, offers low profile, soft lines, open architecture, tempered glass shelves, leveling feet and cable management ports.

Solar series debuts a four-shelf audio tower and three-shelf video table offering a low profile, chrome accents, tempered glass shelves, rolling casters and cable management ports.

Audio pieces in both the Lunar and Solar series are $249 suggested retail, while video pieces are $279.

Universal fixed and tilt mounts in the Visual Display offering come in three series. All OmniMount mounts feature a small- , medium- and large-size concept for handling different types and sizes of televisions.

The U1, both a tilt and fixed mount, is ideal for LCD panels up to 24 inches. This comes in gray and a low-profile-design with a tilt range of +15 degrees to -5 degrees. The U1 is $79.95 suggested retail.

The U2 tilt and fixed mounts are ideal for flat-panel TVs of 23 inches to 37 inches. These offer sliding lateral adjustment and a security locking system. Tilt range is +15 degrees to -5 degrees. Suggested retail is $99.95 for the fixed and $129.95 for the tilt. Color is black or gray.

The U3 tilt and fixed mount is designed for flat-panel TVs up to 60 inches and 200-pound capacity. These have a profile of 2 5/8 inches from the wall, and offer an extension kit for up to 63 inches. Color is black or gray. Suggested retail is $149.95 for the fixed and $249.95 for the tilt.

OmniMount’s Visual Display series takes in cantilever mounts in three sizes. The small CL-S LCD mount, available in the first quarter for a suggested $149.95, or $179.95 in chrome, includes integrated cable management, slide-on wall plate, cast aluminum construction, single- and double-stud mount and 25 percent greater weight capacity.

Other cantilever LCD mounts that offer the same features as the CL-S, include the CL-M, a single-stud option at $249.95. A chrome version is $299.95. The CL-L, a double-stud option, is $349.95. The chrome is $429.95. The CL-X, a dual-arm cantilever plasma mount, offers dual-arm construction and a 200-pound weight capacity. The regular unit is $399.95 suggested retail, and the chrome mount is $549.95.

All CL models, except the CL-S, are available in a black or gray powder-coat finish. Shipping will be spring of 2005.

OmniMount also is introducing its Moda 16:9 furniture and speaker stands line, including widescreen formatted video tables and matching speaker stands that offer an urban feel and minimalist approach to design — with exotic wood finishes, chrome accents and frosted glass. For practical purposes, Moda display tables provide shelving space for components. Modula tables are stackable and complement any one of the systems, while any one of the tables can draw double-duty as a coffee or end table.

There are four tables in the Moda series, with the 48-inch size having a $499.95 suggested retail and the 60-inch $599.95. The Modula, at 9-inch and 18-inch heights, is $129.95 and $149.95 respectively. Speaker stands are $149.95 for the 24-inch and $179.95 for the 31-inch.
