Roccat Bows Lua Tri-Button Mouse

LOS ANGELES — Roccat Studios unveiled its Lua Tri-Button gaming mouse at E3 earlier this month. The mouse is designed to be used with either hand and features a choice of seven dpi settings: 250, 500, 1,000, 1,250, 1,500, 1,750 and 2,000.

It also has a dedicated dpi button that lets users change speeds while gaming, and they can program the button to switch only between the dpi settings they use most.

Other features include a scroll wheel that locks into place, ambidextrous V-shaped design, No Sweat side grips and a soft touch surface. It will be available this summer for a $29.99 suggested retail.

Nyko Shows Peripherals For Tablet Gamers

LOS ANGELES — Nyko Technologies used E3 to show off a number of its latest peripherals geared toward tablet gamers, including the PlayPad Pro — a fullsized wireless Bluetooth gaming controller for Android tablets.

The controller features dual analog sticks, a d-pad, face buttons and shoulder bumpers. Nyko’s complementary Playground app will offer backward compatibility for other Android games and a variety of buttonmapping features, including customized controller layout, Nyko said.

The PlayPad, meanwhile, is a travel-sized tablet controller with dual analog sliders, and comes with a collapsible tablet stand and carrying case. It also uses Bluetooth.

Both will begin shipping during the holidays. Pricing wasn’t given.

For the Playstation3, Nyko showed its Free Fighter fight stick. It features eight face buttons, an ambidextrous design, an expandable base, four customizable macro buttons and two variable-speed turbo buttons. This will be available in September for a $179 suggested retail.

Mad Catz Announces Wii U Accessories

SAN DIEGO – Mad Catz Interactive announced it will have a full line of products that will be compatible with the new Wii U console.

The devices are expected to ship in time for the launch of the Wii U, and will include the Tritton Kunai stereo gaming headset, PowerUp ChargeDock and the FlipStand protective cover.

CTA Teams With Nickelodeon

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — CTA Digital announced it has teamed with Nickelodeon for a line of kid-friendly iPad accessories.

Products will include the Inflatable Play Cube, which holds the iPad under a protective case on its recessed and padded side. It comes in two options: Sponge- Bob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer.

The Inflatable Sports Car features a steering wheel that can mount an iPad for use during racing games. It comes in

SpongeBob, Dora and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles designs.

Finally, the Universal Activity Tray lets and iPad be locked into place and attached to high chairs, car seats or strollers. It has a fully sealed design to protect from spills and come in SpongeBob or Dora designs.

Razer Partners With Piranha & Infinite For Artemis Controller

LOS ANGELES — Razer announced it has partnered with Piranha Games and Infinite Game Publishing for the next installation of the MechWarrior franchise, MechWarrior Online. The partnership will result in the Razer Artemis, a concept controller.

The controller features fully programmable controls, an integrated screen, built-in force feedback and an adjustable ergonomic design.
