VoodooPC Introduces Home Theater PC

VoodooPC introduced what the company is billing as its ultimate home theater and gaming desktop computer.

The Vibe f:50 Home Theater PC is a Microsoft Media Center-based device designed to plug seamlessly into any home theater system. It contains two TV tuners, supports 7.1 audio and does not have a cooling fan. This last point is a major accomplishment, said VoodooPC’s CEO Rahool Sood.

“The biggest problem with them [home theater PCs] is the noise they exhibit and their lack of performance. The f:50 is among the most powerful personal computers on Earth, and, most importantly, it is deadly silent,” he said.

The f:50 is a configure-to-order model, with prices starting at $3,450 and heading upwards of $5300, featuring an AMD Athlon 64 3500+ processor, 512MB of DDR memory, CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, 80GB hard drive and a nVidia Geforce 6600 GT 128 video card.

Its video hookup allows PC games to be shown at the highest resolution on any type of home theater display. The PC is bundled with Pinnacle Studio Deluxe 8 DVD editing software.
