Toshiba, GetConnected Ink Software Deal

Toshiba America and GetConnected have struck a deal that will place the latter company's broadband service software on all Satellite, Tecra and Protégé notebooks.

GetConnected's application gives consumers access to pertinent pricing, features and availability information for all the broadband services in their area and lets them sign up for a service directly from the notebook's desktop and not through the service.

GetConnected currently supplies its service through retail kiosks.
