San Diego - Sony debuted the Vaio W series of mini notebooks today.
The W models feature 1,366 by 768, LED, 10.1-inch backlit displays. They are said to be Energy Star 5.0 compliant, as well as EPEAT Gold registered, with mercury-free LCDs.
Other features include Vaio Media plus Multimedia Streaming software, two USB ports, integrated Bluetooth technology, built-in Web cam and microphone, and a 160GB hard drive. Three colors are offered: Berry Pink, Sugar White and Cocoa Brown.
The mini notebooks will retail for about $500, Sony said, and they are currently available for pre-orders at www.sonystyle.com. They will be available through retailers next month.
