Netgear Adds Trio Of Networking Products To Line

LAS VEGAS – Netgear will introduce three networking products
this week at International CES, including a Media Storage Router.

The other newcomers is the HD Video and Gaming 4-Port adapter
and the Wi-Fi Booster for Mobile.

The WNDR4700 Media Storage Router, shipping in the second
quarter with a $329 suggested retail price, features N900 class Wi-Fi range and
speed. There is 2TB of internal storage.

The
router connects to Macs and Windows PCs and can connect, backup and store
content from all desktop and portable computing devices, the company said.

TheWNCE4004
HD Video and Gaming 4-port Wi-Fi Adapter is optimized for entertainment uses.
It can connect with any Blu-ray, media streaming device, smart TV or game
console via its Ethernet ports.

Netgear
said the WNCE4004 minimizes interference with dual-band Wi-Fi, and has data
transfer speeds up to 450 Mbps

It
is expected to ship during the second quarter with a $79 suggested retail
price.

The
third new product is the WN1000RP Wi-Fi Booster for Mobile. The device plugs
into a standard electric outlet to expand a home networks coverage area. The
booster has a single button that is pushed to connect it to the existing home
network and does not require any installation to be done on the home PC, the
company said.

It
will carry a $39 suggested retail price when it ships during the second
quarter.
