RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. —
Lenovo earlier this month introduced
an updated version of its S10 netbook
and the new C200 all-in-one desktop
computer.
The S10-3s will ship later this month
with a suggested retail of $379. It is
16mm thick and is powered by an Intel
Atom N450 or N470 processor. The netbook
can connect to the Web via 802.11b/
g/n, 3G and wireless wide-area network
(WWAN). It also has Bluetooth.
Available in black, white and a floral
pattern, the S10-3s has a 10.1-inch display,
320GB hard drive and an almost
full-size keyboard. Other new features
include Dolby headphone audio and
Lenovo’s Active Protection System, formerly
only available on the company’s
ThinkPad and IdeaPad notebooks.
Lenovo also included the new software
apps DirecShare and Maplink.
DirecShare allows the S10-3s to wirelessly
sync with any other computer
without having to connect to the Web.
MapLife is a Wi-Fi-based mapping tool
that detects the user’s location over the
Internet and can display nearby points
of interest.
The C200 all-in-one, shipping in mid-
April with a $399 suggested retail is
centered around an 18.5-inch display
and is available with a variety of features,
including an Intel Atom dualcore
processor D510 and Nvidia Ion
256MB graphics. Other specifi cations
include up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, a
500GB hard drive and DVD burner; it
also comes with a wireless keyboard
and mouse.
The C200 has integrated stereo
speakers, Lenovo’s High-Sense Web
cam, and the company’s Rescue System
for backup and data recovery.
