Buffalo Technologies Debuts CloudStor

LAS VEGAS —

Buffalo Technologies introduced
its new CloudStor and USB 3.0 storage
solutions earlier this month at International
CES.

The CloudStor uses the PogoPlug cloud
service to allow users to access their data
from anywhere, yet the content resides on the
device not in the cloud, the company said.
PogoPlug maintains a secure connection between
the device and whoever is designated
to access the information.

The CloudStor will ship in February, with the
1TB version carrying a $169 suggested retail
and the 2TB model costing $269.

The new USB 3.0 models — MiniStation
Stealth, DriveStation Axis, DriveStation Duo
and DriveStation Quad — are all now shipping.

The DriveStation Quad is available in two
SKUs, 4TB and 8TB, with respective suggested
prices of $629 and $1,199.

The DriveStation Duo comes in 2TB, ($279)
and 4TB ($459) while the DriveStation Axis
comes in a 1TB flavor for $99 and 2TB for $149.

The MiniStation Stealth leads with a 500GB
model for $89 and also offers a 1TB model
for $129.

The three models are have RAID-level storage
and backup software.
