Acer America last week introduced a new Acer Aspire desktop replacement notebook.
The Aspire AS8940G-6865 has an 18.4-inch HD display and is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor. It will ship in time for the holiday selling season with a $1,349 suggested retail.
The unit is optimized for entertainment and multimedia experiences, Acer said, and includes NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M with 1GB of dedicated DDR3 VRAM and a combo Blu-ray/DVD SuperMulti double-layer drive.
Other features include a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR dual channel memory, integrated Wi-Fi, Web cam, five USB ports and Dolby Home Theater Audio Enhancement.
