Zyxel Unveils
Security Web Cams

ANAHEIM, CALIF. — Zyxel Communications,
a manufacturer of secure broadband
networking, Internet connectivity and routing
products, began shipping its CloudEnabled
series of web cameras.
The IPC3605N ($99 street price) and
IPC4605N ($185) are designed for the
home and small office, and they provide accessibility
to video feeds via any PC, iPhone
or Android device, or through any web
browser with a current Flash plug-in, according
to the company.
An iSecurity+ app, available for free on
Apple Marketplace or the Android Market,
allows smartphones and tablets to view images
from the camera without additional
configuration, it added.
Features for both camears include
802.11n wireless technology, 720p video,
H.264 video encoding and infrared LEDs to
illuminate dark areas for up to 15 feet.
The IPC4605N adds pan-tilt-zoom functionality,
enabling users to pan up to 340
degrees and tilt up to 100 degrees.
They are both currently available.
