Vivastar Ships DVD-R Media

Super High Quality DVD and CD storage media products maker Vivastar has begun shipping its new premium-quality DVD-R media to retailers in the United States.

Vivastar's 4.7 GB DVD recordable media is designed to address the fast-growing demand for high-speed, high-capacity digital storage among U.S. consumers.

The company said its is aggressively addressing DVD as the new platform of choice for all kinds of general purpose storage-intensive consumer uses, including video/audio archival, data warehousing and photo storage.

Suggested retail is $11 for each individually packaged disc.

Based in Zug, Switzerland, Vivastar entered the U.S. market this past February.
