Verizon’s iPhone 4 Debut Spawns Accessory Intros

NEW YORK —

As a new network of iPhone 4 users
emerged, accessories suppliers raced to reach market
with add-ons designed for the new Verizon model.

Kensington

announced its Charge and Sync Dock
with Wall Adapter is available exclusively in Verizon carrier
stores. The dock allows simultaneous syncing and
charging of the iPhone when attached to a PC. It retails
for $39.99.

iKit

made its NuCharge case available for both the AT&T
and Verizon iPhone 4. This 6mm-thick black lightweight
protective case includes a rechargeable 1,400 mAh lithium-
polymer battery, enough to double the battery life of the
iPhone, the company said. A kickstand is integrated into the
case for landscape and video viewing, and full access to all
buttons is maintained. It retails for $64.95.

Mophie

announced a new version of its Juice Pack Air
external rechargeable battery case that is compatible with
both the Verizon and AT&T iPhone 4. Key features include
a 1,500 mAh rechargeable lithium-polymer battery, a softtouch
rubberized finish, acoustic sound enhancement,
four-light LED battery status indicator, standby/charging
switch, and charge and sync cable. It has an expected
ship date of Feb. 28 and it retails retails for $79.95.

iLuv

was typically out of the gate early when it began
shipping a full line of cases for the Verizon iPhone three
days before the phone debuted. The line include leatherette,
titanium, translucent rubber, Flex-Gel, Flex-Trim and
silicone cases as well as a sports armband and screen
protector film. Prices range from $12.99 to $49.99.

iChair

, which debuted its iDevice case with integrated
kickstand in January, confirmed the product is compatible
with the Verizon iPhone 4. The soft rubber iDevice has
a portrait/landscape adjustable kickstand and includes
a dust cloth, screen protectors and squeegee boards. It
comes in black with an extra top slider case in either blue
or white and retails for $34.

Ballistic

introduced a Verizon-compatible version of its
ruggedized Ballistic HC iPhone 4 case, offering five layers
of protection, the company said. It retails for $49.99.

ID8-Mobile

announced its MoGo Talk XD2, a protective
case with an integrated Bluetooth headset designed
specifically for Verizon’s iPhone 4 and compatible with the
AT&T model also, would begin shipping. The headset features
a folding boom that enables it to fold flat, snaps into
the case for storage and charging. Both sport a carbon
black finish. It has a suggested retail of $99.99.

OtterBox

has made it Defender series of Apple iPhone
4 cases compatible with Verizon’s iPhone. The series features
a polycarbonate shell with built-in screen protector
and finished with an impact-absorbing silicone skin that
covers all ports and plugs, protecting them from wear and
debris while allowing for access.

Wrapsol

has created custom cut protective film for the
Verizon iPhone to accommodate the slight shift in buttons.
They are $29.95 for a film that covers the entire device
and $14.95 for a screen-only version.
