CTA Digital this fall is offering a redesigned universal rechargeable battery that is compatible with virtually all portable DVD systems.
Called the DVB-EXT, the newly designed external battery provides an additional six to 12 hours of run time on a single charge. It features an 8000mAh, 9-volt polymer lithium-ion battery that has no memory effect in order to provide a longer life cycle.
Designed to be lightweight at less than 1 pound, so as not to add additional carrying weight to portable DVD systems, the battery incorporates a built-in power check status button, which, when pressed, displays the power level and charge level using its 4 LED lighting system. Users can check the power status during charging and while in use.
Packaging includes a universal AC 110/220-volt adapter and five universal plugs to fit most players.
Suggested retail is $99.99.
