Portable storage maker and computer accessories supplier Targus is launching its online Tip Store so consumers will have a one-stop shop for customizing the company's universal power adapters. Targus will be making available interchangeable adapters for more than 3,900 notebooks and 800 digital devices.
Targus's new device-specific adapter tips are available for current and previous models of its universal power adapters, and allow users to power a notebook computer, mobile phone, camera, DVD player, MP3 player, PDA or printer.
The adapters are for charging electronic devices through standard AC wall outlets or through DC outlets found in a car or on a plane. Adapters eliminate the need to carry more than one power source while traveling and reduce carrying-case weight.
Users can quickly find the correct tip for their device by using Targus' online Tip Configurator. Tips have a suggested retail of $9.99, plus $2 for shipping and handling. The store was scheduled for a first-quarter start-up.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
