'Super Slim' Universal Fixed Wall Mount Debuts

Solidmounts is introducing a new mount in its Super Slim line of universal fixed wall mounts that support large-format plasma and LCD televisions.

Called the Super Slim UF-800, the mount is designed for the VESA 800 pattern, of which only Philips currently is using as its plasma/LCD large-format display mounting hole pattern, said Solidmounts.

The UF-800 is designed to provide a super-low profile mount solution for support of the VESA 800 mounting-hole pattern and to give custom installers and retailers a wall mount solution for plasma and LCD TVs.

The unit is available in two configurations in Super Slim profile, which will fit most large-format flat-screen TVs. For LCDs, the UF-800 is available with a 0.98-inch off-the-wall profile, the lowest profile on the market capable of supporting large-format LCDs, said Solidmounts.

Made of solid, heavy-gauge steel in silver, black or platinum clear coat finish, the unit supports up to 200 pounds. It works with almost any 42-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 60-inch, 61-inch and 63-inch plasma TV, and mounts to any stud separation up to 36 inches.
