Speck came to International CES with a few of its favorite things: beer, candy and protective coverings.
In addition to glass jars filled with Twizzlers and chocolate, Speck was displaying a different kind of candy at the show — its CandyShell line of cases for the iPhone 3G and 3G S. The company introduced seven color combinations, including GuavaGoo Pink, Nightshade Purple, JujuJulep Green, SeaGlass Blue, DarkHeart Black, Moonsicle White and Indigo Blue. Suggested retail is $34.95.
Also making their debut at CES were SeeThru Satin ($29.95), Fitted ($29.95), and Fitted ArtsPojekt Limited ($39.95) cases for the iPhone 3G and 3G S. Speck also had artist Jim Mahfood at its booth, who created an iPhone 3G case during the show, which will be sold by Speck in the near future.
Piggybacking on the holiday success of Amazon's Kindle, Speck introduced the DustJacket folio covers with a built-in, flip-out reading stand. The front cover opens like a book and folds back flat for hands-free reading. It also features a custom-fit snap-in cradle, micro-fleece-lined interior and a padded exterior.
The DustJacket comes in two colors — red and black — and has a $34.95 suggested retail. It's currently available.
So as not to neglect the many BlackBerry users out there, Speck announced at CES that a selection of three of its flagship cases — the Fitted, PixelSkin and SeeThru — would now be available for BlackBerry Tour 9630, Storm2, Bold 9700 and Curve 8520 (Fitted only).
Suggested retails will range from $19.95 to $29.95.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
