Sakar Premieres 1-Piece Wireless Numeric Keypad/Optical Mouse

Sakar International is making it easier for consumers to lug laptop peripherals with its new Wireless Numeric Keypad that has a built-in optical mouse. The keypad/mouse is a two-in-one product that saves space and hassle by eliminating the need for number-crunching notebook users to carry two separate input devices.
The 17-key numeric keypad, said to be the first one-piece wireless numeric keypad, incorporates mouse buttons and a scroll wheel directly above the number keys. When a user is entering numeric data, it is keypad business as usual. With a flick of a switch, users are pointing, clicking and scrolling.
Results with using the Sakar product include fewer accessories to pack and forget, less clutter on the working surface, more room in the laptop case, and no wires to worry about because both components share one USB wireless receiver.
The product requires Windows 98SE, or higher, and has a range of about 15 feet on a 27MHz frequency band. It has a suggested $39.99 retail and currently is available.
