BrandSource Details Exec Promotions
TUSTIN, CALIF. – The BrandSource buying group has shed more light on its recent promotions of Tom Bennett and John White. Bennett, formerly sales VP, was named BrandSource president with a mandate to boost membership by introducing new recruitment and retention programs. White, formerly appliances executive VP, was given the added title of chief marketing officer, reflecting his additional mandate of creating and executing all BrandSource marketing strategies across all product and service categories.

Jim Ristow, himself recently promoted to CEO, said the new assignments are part of an overall strategy to offer member dealers new growth opportunities, boost sales, and to recognize that every store, regardless of size, is equally important to the organization.

Nationwide Expands Purchasing Platform
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. –
Five weeks after launching a new eXchange buying portal for dealers, the Nationwide Marketing Group has doubled the platform’s brand roster to nearly 200 top CE badges and is preparing to add two more distributors by the end of this summer, for a total of nine. “We have a long-term vision for the eXchange and we intend to grow this initiative in even bigger ways,” said Dean Sottile, Nationwide’s distribution and logistics senior VP, and developer of eXchange. Sottile said the portal presently provides access to over 4,000 SKUs and received an overwhelming positive response from member dealers.

In other Nationwide news, Anuva Automation, the manufacturer of TiO (Turn it On) brand automation and control systems, has joined the vendor roster of the group’s specialty CE and custom installation division, Specialty Electronics Nationwide (SEN).
