Rayovac is partnering with personalized music software and service-company Musicmatch, to offer a holiday 2004 promotion designed to increase battery sales. Consumers will be eligible for free digital music downloads with the purchase of Rayovac battery packs.
Consumers who purchase Rayovac Maximum Plus batteries will receive a gift certificate for tracks from Musicmatch Downloads service, which offers more than 520,000 songs.
They also will be entered into a sweepstakes to win portable RCA MP3 players, as well as $100 download certificates.
The program will be promoted in-store via merchandisers and displays. A promotional online “Power Plays” customized Web site, accessible from www.rayovac.com, will provide an opportunity for visitors to enter the sweepstakes and will provide a link to the Musicmatch Web site.
The promotion will ship September 1 through December 31.
