Rayovac Battery Prices To Rise This Summer

Spectrum Brands, maker of Rayovac batteries, said it will increase Rayovac alkaline and zinc carbon battery prices by 6 percent to 7 percent in the U.S. retail market, effective Aug. 15.

The company cited a significant increase in raw materials costs and a dramatic improvement in overall battery performance since the last price increase five years ago as reasons for the price push.
