The Maxell Consumer Products division is offering its CD-340 Lens Cleaner, said to be the company's hottest CD care and maintenance product.
The product's brush cleaning system, which is angled in a way that makes it ideal for cleaning drives that run from 4X to 24X, has a suggested retail of $12.99. It offers Maxell's proprietary Thunderon cleaning system.
The leveling of computer hardware sales has spurred sales of computer care and maintenance accessories, with business remaining extremely strong, said Gordon Tetreault, national sales and marketing manager for accessories products at Maxell Corporation of America.
"It's clear that as computer users hang on to their equipment longer, they are increasingly recognizing the need to perform regular care and maintenance procedures on that equipment and on the discs where they store their data," said Tetreault.
