Marantz America has shipped its newest HDMI switcher, the version 1.3a model VS3002, designed to provide increased switching capabilities for virtually any A/V receiver or preamp/processor when used with advanced HDMI-based video sources.

It features six-in/two-out switching capability, a discrete set of commands, RS-232c control terminal and direct IR input jacks.

The VS3002 is designed for plug-and-play connectivity and features automatic input switching for ease of use. The unit's output signal "emphasizer" helps maintain optimum performance through long cable runs.

A Sync Mode feature automatically recognizes switching when used Marantz components.

The VS3002 began shipping in the first quarter with a suggested retail of $349.
