Rechargeable battery and battery charger maker Lenmar Enterprises is offering new high performance nickel metal-hydride (NiMH) AA batteries. Called the NoMEM PRO series, the AA cells feature what the company calls an industry-leading capacity rating of 2300mAh.

Lenmar said the enhanced output and battery life provides superior performance for digital cameras and other high-power consumption personal electronics devices. The 2300mAh AA delivers 15 percent more images than the current highest output battery, said the company.

Lenmar's NoMEM PRO AA cells, called the highest rated NiMH available, allow users to take more than three times the number of photos when compared with using nickel-cadmium or alkaline batteries, said the company. The NoMEM PRO AA batteries can be charged up to 1,000 times, with no memory effect, making them environmentally friendly and saving hundreds of dollars when compared with disposable alkaline battery consumption, said Lenmar.

Model PRO415-23 includes 4 AA 1.2V 2300mAh cells and has a suggested $17.95 retail. The company recommends charging with its NeoTherm Mach 1 Gamma SpeedCharger, however, charging can be accomplished with all other AA NiMH compatible battery chargers.
