Two key new products were displayed by Lenmar Enterprises at International CES in Las Vegas earlier in January.
The MSC815 Mach 1 Lightning SpeedCharger allows users to charge two of the new Lenmar PRO-H high temperature nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) cells in as little as eight minutes, and four cells in just 15, according to the company.
With the Lightning, any qualified cells from any manufacturer can be charged in 15 minutes, and special cells are not needed. With the PRO-H cells, charging time is cut in half.
The MSC815 utilizes Lenmar technology to deliver a fast charge, without overcharging, by continuously monitoring and conditioning the battery. It also stabilizes the temperature of a battery as it charges, preventing overheating. The charger ships with two Lenmar PRO-H 2000mAh cells, the charger unit with LED status indicators, international voltage support, and a car cigarette lighter adapter that enables consumers to fully charge batteries when on the road.
The Lightning charger will be available in the first quarter at a suggested $59.95 retail.
Currently shipping at a suggested $99.95 is Lenmar's update to its Mach 1 SpeedCharger line, with the company integrating the support for lithium-ion (Li-Ion) and NiMH batteries used in digital cameras, camcorders, PDAs, personal electronic devices and AA/AAA-size cells into a single charger, so that one charger does it all.
The new Mach 1 Fusion is an all-in-one speed charger that eliminates the need to have multiple chargers for a wide range of CE products. The rapid charger now comes standard with adapter plates for Li-Ion batteries for Sony and Canon camcorders and digital cameras, and AA/AAA batteries, plus a set of four Lenmar 2300mAh AA NiMH batteries.
The charger includes three adapter plates, LED status indicators, international voltage support and car cigarette lighter adapter. Adapters for other digital camera and camcorder models beyond Cannon and Sony are available at $4.99 each.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
