JVC is debuting a noise-canceling headphone said to reduce background sounds by up to 75 percent. The model HA-NC100 is designed for travel, due to a retractable cord system, a folding design and an included carry pouch.
The JVC headphone features 36mm drivers and have a frequency response of 10Hz to 20kHz. The power supply is contained within one ear piece, eliminating the need for an outboard power supply as used by some noise-canceling models, said the company. Battery life is 50 hours.
The headphone also provides a 5-foot cord that automatically retracts into the product for a fast and tidy storage solution. The folding design makes it very compact for travel, and it comes with a pouch and adapter for use with sound systems in airplanes.
Suggested retail is $129.95.
