Jasco Slider Remote Keys On 'Innovative' Design

In what Jasco Products calls a “really neat” product, the company's new GE-brand universal remote, called the Slider, focuses on “innovative design” and technology in order to reflect consumers' tastes in a business that demands increasing style changes.

The Slider universal remote utilizes a hide-and-seek design with a lid that slides and hides the keys not used every day. Commonly used buttons are positioned on the top of the Slider lid, and with a flick of the thumb the top slides open and reveals the other buttons.

The Slider remote is said to be compact and easy to use. It is a three- button remote where the shift button doubles the amount of devices to be used with the remote. Any device can be used with the buttons, and the unit works on a lithium battery to maintain a slim profile.

Called the RM24964, at a suggested $16.99 retail, the remote takes in a wide range and distance with its IR transmission. It has an extensive programmed universal library code and TV sleep-timer feature.
