Jasco Debuts GE LCD Remote

OKLAHOMA CITY — Jasco introduced a new GE-branded remote last week.

The GE universal LCD remote ($29.99 suggested retail) is designed to replace up to eight other remotes. Features include an easy-to-read blue LCD screen, colored ABCD buttons and a backlit number pad.

It’s reportedly powered by a device library that covers more than 575 brands for TVs, DVRs, DVDs, Blu-ray players, VCRs, receivers, cable, satellite or digital converter boxes. A learning function automatically scans and links the user’s home-theater devices after following a few simple instructions, Jasco said.

The black and silver remote operates with two AAA batteries (not included).
