Iogear Intros Desktop For Messy Users

Iogear introduced two computer accessories earlier this month: a spill-resistant desktop and a Bluetooth tilt-wheel laser mouse.

Billed as the perfect solution for families with young children, or for frequently snacking students, the spill-resistant desktop features a keyboard with a drain hole to prevent long-term damage following accidental liquid spills. It has built-in hotkeys to control multimedia, and an ergonomic design with a detachable rubber-coated wrist rest.

Included is an optical mouse (800 dpi) that can be used on various surfaces. Suggested retail for the desktop is $29.95. It is currently available.

The tilt-wheel laser mouse announced by Iogear is designed to work on a variety of surfaces. It features a vertical cavity surface-emitting laser that reportedly increases precision and smoothes cursor control. The tilt wheel is engineered to enable horizontal and vertical scrolling when editing large spreadsheets. Also included is a sensitivity-adjusting button — dpi can be adjusted between 400, 800, 1,200 and 1,600, said the company. Operation distance is listed at 33 feet.

Currently available, the mouse has a $69.95 suggested retail.
