Grammy Attendees Receive Memorex DVD 120 Media

The music industry's hottest stars went home from the 46th Annual Grammy Awards earlier this month toting a Grammy talent gift basket featuring Memorex DVD 120 recordable discs.

With the Memorex DVD+R the exclusive blank media given to Grammy Awards presenters at this event, the company created special edition DVD 120 packaging for inclusion in the gift baskets. Memorex, also the exclusive logo sponsor on the post-party gift bag, included the disc package in official Grammy post-party take-home bags. The post-party gift selection was carried home by an estimated 4,800 post-party attendees.

This year's talent gift baskets, according to Memorex, are valued at more than $13,000, and feature trend-setting products that will be big in 2004.

Topping the list of consumer trends, said Memorex, is the move toward home DVD recording. The DVD 120 discs are said to be ideal for TV recording and playback on home DVD recorders, and also can be used with PC recorders as a high capacity, long lasting method to save photos, video and music files.

The Memorex special DVD+R package features a couple with their TV on the cover and on the back, the message: "Please enjoy this Special Edition 2004 Grammy Awards DVD 120 from Memorex."
