LAS VEGAS —
Genius is using International
CES, being held here this week, to launch a
host of computer and iPad accessories, including
a 3D webcam.
The FaceCam 1050 has a 720p HD image
sensor and supports 3D video recording
without any required drivers. Features
include a universal clip; one-touch access to
Facebook, Twitter or YouTube; and support
for PageFlip, Line Interleave and Checkerboard.
Suggested retail is $54.90.
The SP-i300 is billed as a combination
portable MP3 player and speaker. It can play
MP3/WMA music files from any USB storage
device, up to 32GB, Genius said, and comes
with an aux input. Suggested retail is $49.
As for computer accessories, the company
is taking the wraps off two wireless mice
devices. The Pen mouse ($39) is a 2.4GHz
wireless pen with 1,200 dpi tracking. A power-
saving feature can auto-detect when the
mouse isn’t being used and puts the pen into
sleep mode, according to the company.
The Navigator 905 Vogue wireless mouse
($39) has the company’s 1,200 dpi BlueEye
tracking technology, said to track on almost
every surface. It comes with a pico receiver,
Stick-N-Go mount, and a diamond pattern.
The Bluetooth keyboard and GS-i900
sleeve are both designed for use with Apple’s
iPad. The leather-bound keyboard
comes what the company called “scissor
key structure.” Suggested retail is $69.90.
The GS-i900 sleeve was designed for
the iPad iOS 4.2, but it can reportedly be
used with another tablet PC. The slip-in
style sleeve shields the iPad or tablet from
scratches, damages and dust, the company
said. It’s priced at $19.90.
A camcorder was also part of the introductions.
The G-Shot HD850T ($169) records
1,920 by 1080 video at 30 fps. It uses highcompression
H.264 format, Genius said, and
can capture both video and still images. Features
include 4x digital zoom, a flash and LED
light, 3-inch TFT touch display and support
for an SD card with up to 32GB of memory.
Availability wasn’t given at press time.
