Fry's Takes Top Title At Monster's Annual Awards

LAS VEGAS — Monster held its annual Retailer Awards and Concert on Jan. 11 at the Paris Hotel, here, where Fry’s Electronics was given the top award of the Global Gold.

The awards were followed by a concert put on by Chicago. The Wonder Girls, who are helping Monster launch their Diamond Tears - Edge headphones, opened up for Chicago.

According to Monster, individuals and companies nominated for awards are selected as the best Monster retailers in their particular categories, standing out as among the highest achievers in growth, highest percentages of total Monster product sales and dollars-per-store sales.

The winners included:

• Global Gold Award: Fry’s Electronics

• Most Monsterous Audio/Video Specialist Retailer: World Wide Stereo

• Most Monsterous Power Retailer: Media Market Russia

• Most Monsterous Specialty Retailer: Inmotion

• Most Monsterous Electronics & Appliance: Fry’s Electronics

• Most Monsterous International Retailer: Best Buy Canada/Future Shop
