A pair of sleek Body Glove cases to outfit and protect cellphones — among other Body Glove introductions at CES earlier this month — is new from Fellowes.
Two case designs, available in fashion-forward color combinations, are the Scuba Cellsuit Collection and the Universal Scuba Cellsuit Collection. Both are made with a rubberized material to protect against drops and water exposure. The cases also include textured side grips for grasping ease.
Both Body Glove cellular phone cases will be available in the spring at suggested retails ranging from $19.99 to $24.99.
In portable media accessories, Fellowes is moving toward lifestyle-oriented products with its Body Glove introductions, which creates a need for cases that offer better durability. Gadget devices in the line that provide the right form, additional function and custom fit include those for iPods, satellite receivers and MP3 technology.
A Body Glove iPod Case, at a suggested $14.99 retail, offers rugged and sporty scuba styling. It includes rear swivel clip that attaches to a belt or bag for hands-free convenience. Availability is March.
The XM SKYFi Receiver Case, at a suggested $9.99 retail, is a sporty, black scuba case with Velcro closure that keeps a satellite radio receiver easily accessible. The unit currently is available.
With April availability, a CD/MP3 Body Glove Player Sport Belt Deluxe, at a suggested $19.99 retail, holds large CD/MP3 players along with three CDs. It has two side pockets that hold credit cards and headphone access is allowed through a slotted pocket.
A MP3/Mini Sport Belt, at a suggested $14.99 retail, features two side pockets that hold additional items. A padded mesh back for the Body Glove unit provides extra storage and headphone access. Availability is April.
New sleek designs for CD/DVD cases, including the Scuba II, Sport and Dart, feature lined sleeves that shield discs from heat and moisture. These are available in 32-, 64-, 128- and 224-disc capacity at a suggested retail range of $9.99 to $29.99. Availability also is April.
Body Glove Laptop bags include a Notebook Accessory Case, the first of its kind in the category for Itasca, Ill.-based Fellowes. It offers specific storage sections for laptop power cord, USB cables, memory cards, travel adapters, USB hubs and a travel mouse. It will be available in April for a suggested $29.99.
A Body Glove Computer Skin provides both style and protection. It features a zippered closure and the user doesn't have to take the computer out of the case to use it, making it the first of its kind in the category, said Fellowes. Availability is April at a $29.99 suggested retail.
Digital cameras receive Body Glove protection from the Gen II, available in a range of sizes to fit all camera designs. Storage options are available for compact flash, SD and Memory Sticks. Suggested retails range from $9.99 to $29.99, and availability is April.
A new cellular Bluetooth wireless headset, called Earglove BlueVoice, features an extendable microphone that provides ultimate sound and voice quality even in noisy environments, said Fellowes. The unit joins the Eargove Blue Sport (See TWICE, Cellphone Headsets, p. 72, Jan. 8). It offers up to six hours talk-time and comes with or without an adapter. Suggested retail is $99.99; with an adapter $149.99. Availability is June.
