Chief Manufacturing said it is now shipping its SL151 automated Smart-Lift projector mount.

The UL-listed mount is engineered to drop directly into 2-foot by 2-foot tiles. It automatically lowers the projector from the ceiling so users can reveal or conceal at the press of a button, said the company. Other features include vertical projector cradle adjustments and fore/aft projector positioning, as well as quick disconnect for lamp and filter access on most projectors. The mount reportedly maintains registration even when disconnected.

Multiple installation options are available, according to the Chief Web site, and it has a weight capacity of 35 pounds. Suggested retail is $2,499.
